Paranormal romance. If those two words strike a chord of fear, read no further. If, however, you do not shy away from genre novels, you are my kind of reader. I love books. I read across almost every genre. I have said of myself that "I am an indiscriminate reader." I have been known to read everything from great literature to children's books and, as I like to joke, even billboards.
So why witches?
There is something in the creation of a world where magic is real that is compelling to me. It is an opportunity to live that experience, the proverbial vicarious adventure where you get to crawl into the skin of someone who can do things that are not possible in our world. I don't want to get too deep or philosophical here, but isn't that true for almost any book you read? I have lived life through the eyes of a basketball giant, I have lived life through the eyes of a child, I have lived life through the eyes of a murderer—and I love to write through the eyes of a witch.
